The Ruko-244170 M10 Thread Breaker is an essential tool for repairing damaged threads. This device restores the functionality of screws and bolts, ensuring a secure and long-lasting fit. Its use is simple and divided into four key steps: drilling, tapping, mounting the threaded sleeve, and breaking the shank. To begin, drill out the damaged thread using a RUKO twist drill bit, keeping in mind that larger holes are required for thread forming tools. Next, cut the new retaining thread using a tap, preferably with cutting oil to facilitate the process. Mount the sleeve by inserting it into the threading tool, ensuring the retaining shank is correctly positioned. Finally, the retaining pin is broken with the breaking mandrel, leaving the new thread ready for use.
