LED tube or traditional fluorescent?

LED tubes use less power and light instantly. Classic fluorescents need ballast/starter. This category includes both—check the product title/sheet.

Will an LED tube fit my fitting?

Check length, type (T5/T8), cap (G13, G5, G10q…) and whether it’s direct replacement or needs a ballast bypass.

Can I fit LED without changing the gear?

It depends (magnetic ballast + starter, electronic ballast bypass, etc.). If unsure, send a photo or the old tube reference.

What is an insect-killer / actinic tube?

Made for insect attractors, not general room lighting.

Which colour temperature?

~3000 K warm, ~4000 K neutral, ~6500 K daylight. Insect tubes use different spectra.
